Quail

The quail hunting in our area can be fantastic. We have a wide variety of terrain for bob whites to live in and our hunters will typically find 10 to 15 coveys per day. We offer day hunting as well as guided hunts where we provide meals, lodging, and fully guided hunts using our dogs. We hunt quail in some of the same areas that we deer hunt, therefore we do most of our quail hunting after the white tail rut is over in mid to late December. Our quail season runs through the end of February, so we get plenty off bird hunting in each year. We hunt mostly on foot and the topography varies from fairly flat to very ruff. We do allow ATVs on some ranches, but we don’t provide them for our hunters because of insurance restrictions. Our guided quail hunts consist of three to four hours of hunting in the morning, then we have lunch and use the sporting clays range and we finish up the day with a couple of hours of hunting before dark.

Most quail hunters are bird dog people and we understand that, therefore we have ranches that hunters can come to and be on their own for how ever many days they wish to hunt. On these hunts we basically go with our guests and point out the boundaries of the property that they are to hunt and we leave them on their own from that point.

The guided hunts are $300.00/day/hunter with a two day minimum and the day hunts are $200.00/day/hunter with no minimum.
